Recipes

It's that time of the year for some sweet potato pie. This is the only pie I love. I literally eat the middle first and then the crust last so it will last longer ( Don't judge me) lol. I'm going to give you my recipe and one trick that makes this pie taste even better

 Ingredients
1 pound of sweet potatoes
1/2 cup of butter softened
1/2 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of milk
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3 teaspoon flour
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg

Directions
1. Preheat oven at 400 degrees. Then Cut the ends of the sweet potatoes off and place it on a non-stick baking tray, and let it bake for 1 hour or until skin starts to fall off. (This is better than boiling because all the sweet juices from the sweet potato stays inside)
2.Break apart sweet potato in a bowl.  Add butter, and mix well with mixer. Stir in sugar, milk, eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, flour, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed until mixture is smooth. Pour filling into an unbaked pie crust.
3.  Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 55 to 60 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
